Position Overview Serve as a strategic partner to the business leaders and employees supporting multiple locations. The people Generalist will play a vital role in aligning HR initiatives with business objectives, driving talent strategies, and fostering a positive work culture. Position Responsibilities Typical roles on a project included but not limited to: Collaborate with business leaders in multiple C&S locations to provide strategic HR guidance and support. Lead HR initiatives that support organizational objectives, including diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts. Uses benefits experience to develop and present ideas for improvement. Adept at measuring and analyzing benefits data to improve effectiveness, build efficiencies, and proactively enhance the delivery of the benefits function. Help analyze benefit "best practices" to ensure that the firm's benefit programs are competitive, identifies areas for improvement. Participates in benefits surveys and researches alternatives for benefit plans. Support benefits open enrollment process, troubleshoots and analyzes data, and ensures all elections are implemented correctly and timely. Ensures company compliance with government benefit regulations. Support benefit compliance testing, audits, and legal filings to ensure accuracy and timely completion. Coach and advise managers on employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance improvement. Utilize safe work practices in accordance with federal, state, local, and company standards. Communicate incidents, accidents, near misses, potential hazards, and unsafe working conditions to a supervisor or the Health and Safety Department as soon as identified. Skills/Education/Experience Communicate and coordinate effectively with employees verbally and in writing. Interact effectively with employees at all organizational levels. Identify problems or irregularities for early resolution. Prepare a variety of comprehensive administrative and technical documents and reports. Prepare and deliver presentations to employees. Train employees in Human Resources policies and procedures. Work effectively in a general business environment, with a focus on high levels of quality and customer service. 2+ years' experience in general human resources with benefits administration knowledge. Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, or a related field from an accredited college or university. PHR and/or SPHR certification from SHRM or a college plus demonstrated years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
