Job Details Job Location Cleveland, OH 44103 - VSI - Cleveland, OH Education Level HS Diploma/GED   Salary Range $15.00 - $15.00 Hourly Job Shift Other - see details in job posting Description Location: 2239 East 55th St, Cleveland Ohio 44103 Shift: Part Time, 15-20 Hours Per Week FLSA: Nonexempt SUMMARY Assist in the shipping/receiving in the facility by using a forklift to move product and material. Also perform specific job duties as assigned by the supervisor. These include assembly, inspection, machine operation, sorting, packaging, and any other duties as deemed necessary by the supervisor. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Operates forklift, elevator, or other material handling equipment to move parts from one location to another location. Operates forklift to load/unload parts on/off shipping vehicle. Makes sure all appropriate paperwork is correctly signed and/or transferred between appropriate parties. Performs preventative maintenance on forklift such as checking fluids, making sure lights and horns work, belts tightened, etc. to ensure that the forklift is in proper working order. Take regular inventory of materials and notify the supervisor when it is necessary to order required materials. If unsure about a specific job or task will ask immediate supervisor. Maintain a clean work area. This includes putting things away at the end of the day and/or when the job is complete such as tools, parts, etc. Regular attendance. Responsible for following agency safety policies and maintaining a safe work. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, consumers, co-workers and supervisors. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Forklift Operator's License. With a computer test given by Shop Coordinator and observed for a minimum of 5 hours by Shop Coordinator. Valid Driver's License. Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear Occasionally lift up to 100 pounds Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Works safely so as not to cause injury to yourself or others. Follow all directions regarding safety, quality, production, etc. Able to operate pallet jack, 2 wheel dollies, and carts safely.
