MetroHealth Manager WIC Nutrition - WIC Grant Services in CLEVELAND, Ohio

Location: WIC PROGRAM

Biweekly Hours: 80.00

Shift: 8a-5p Monday through Friday. Some evenings and weekends for outreach and special projects.

Summary:

Participates in long-term/short-term program development. Plans, coordinates, implements, and evaluates strategies for nutrition services provided by the WIC program. Utilizes knowledge and skills to identify and address maternal/infant/child nutritional needs. Ensures efficient interdisciplinary team competence and performance of staff. Executes all tasks while following the Federal WIC regulations, Ohio WIC Policies and Procedures and of the Cuyahoga County WIC Program (CCWP). Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

Qualifications:

Required: Currently a Licensed Dietitian (LD) as determined by the Ohio Board of Dietetics (OBD). 3-5 years of experiences as a licensed dietitian. Strong communication skills. Proficient computer knowledge. Adept at working with people of various professional and para-professional backgrounds and cultures. Ability to analyze, plan, implement, direct, and evaluate systems programs and resources.

Preferred: Current Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) from the Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice (ALPP). One-year supervisory experience. Master's Degree in Nutrition, Public Health Nutrition, or Business. Ability to speak Spanish.

Physical Demands: May sit, stand, stoop, bend and ambulate intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to see computer monitor and department documents. Exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids. Exposure to chemicals.
