Genesis Corp Lead Technical Analyst in Cleveland, Ohio

Genesis10 is seeking a Lead Technical Analyst for a 6- month remote contract position with a leading client in Brooklyn, OH. This role pays $50-55 /hour W2 based on experience. Job Description: The Lead Technical Analyst is primarily responsible for the design and configuration of the Alation Data Catalog to meet the needs of client's associates - with a keen focus on improving the efficiency of analysts in their quest to find, understand and use data. The Lead Technical Analyst will be part of on an agile squad, working closely with business stakeholders, data consumers, data producers, and data engineering to improve the usability of data through coordinated efforts in data lineage, business definitions of data and data quality, to create a best-in-class catalog experience. Responsibilities: Define, develop & implement Alation data catalog functionality to satisfy the needs of broader data mgmt. programs and initiatives in flight Lead the technical solution design and build for a comprehensive suite of Business Intelligence (BI) reporting objects, including data models, python scripts / data pipelines, stored procedures and Tableau dashboards, that satisfy the catalog platform and cross-program requirements Support the technical integration efforts of Alation to other enterprise systems which could contain critical data lineage or data quality information Leveraging program languages e.g. Python and platform APIs, design & develop custom workflows and integrations with other systems to automate data mgmt. processes Troubleshoot and resolve Alation issues as they occur Requirements: End-to-End BI Development Experience Can translate business needs into a scalable BI solution (e.g., data models, ETL pipelines, dashboards). Experience with data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT) processes, working with tools like SQL, Python, or ETL platforms (e.g., Informatica, Talend). Proficiency in building and optimizing data warehouses or data lakes (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery). Expertise in BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or Looker, with a focus on user-centric dashboard design. Ability to create advanced analytics solutions (e.g., predictive modeling, KPI reporting, or business forecasting). Advanced SQL knowledge and experience with relational and NoSQL databases. Experience working with cloud BI ecosystems (e.g., Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud). Ability to integrate external systems via APIs and automate workflows. Familiarity with Python, R, or similar for advanced analytics or data integration. Experience with Git for managing BI codebases and collaborating with teams. Technical Proficiency Across the BI Chain Strong Interpersonal and Business Skills Evidence of collaborating with business teams to gather requirements, present insights, and iterate on solutions. History of working closely with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to deliver seamless BI solutions. Ability to translate technical insights into actionable business strategies and present findings to non-technical stakeholders. Examples of addressing complex data challenges and delivering innovative BI solutions that drive value. 5+ years' in end-to-end BI development experience, across design / architecture, data engineering, data warehousing and viz / reporting layers Strong understanding of how to design and develop relational data models, PL/SQL stored procedures and SQL querying Intermediate Python skills automating system integrations with APIs and workflows Intermediate understanding of data catalogs and their respective capabilities including data dictionaries, business glossaries, business lineage, technical lineage, and data mgmt. workflows Hands-on experience with on-boarding technical and functional meta
