The Sherwin-Williams Company Lead Solution Architect - Retail Point of Sale in Cleveland, Ohio

ABOUT THE ROLE: The Lead Solution Architect role is responsible for providing technical leadership to cross-functional teams in the design and implementation of comprehensive system/product architectures that effectively integrate with Sherwin's overall DT infrastructure and support key business objectives. The incumbent will be responsible for evaluating program or project challenges, creating conceptual and logical architectural designs that alleviate challenges, and providing technical guidance in implementing those designs. This will require collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve system design weaknesses, ensuring high-quality performance and maintainability of the specific hardware and software systems. The Incumbent will ensure that solution architectures align with the overall Enterprise Architecture and meet business requirements. WHAT THE ROLE WILL DO: Provide expert guidance in designing and implementing highly complex, integrated frameworks, tech-stacks, systems, and platforms that align with and drive the organization's IT strategy and business objectives Lead and oversee the entire process of developing application components and integrations, ensuring all solutions align with the business objectives, enterprise architecture, and performance goals Develop and implement best practices and standards for processes and technical specifications related to hardware and software compatibility, system interfaces, and business application prototypes Lead the effort to continuously research and analyze industry trends and emerging technologies to inform architectural decisions Develop and maintain effective working relationships with cross-functional teams, including software developers, business analysts, enterprise architects, and product managers to ensure the successful adoption of industry-leading design and architecture practices Provide strategic direction on the development of architectural frameworks, patterns, and standards used across multiple products or systems Provide technical expertise in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of next-generation technical initiatives, while also offering guidance as complex technology issues arise Lead the technical evaluation of new solutions to ensure alignment with existing frameworks and standards defined across the organization Champion and guide the extended team to adopt and implement leading-edge design and architect practices Foster cross-functional collaboration among a diverse range of stakeholders across the business to ensure that product and solution design align with architectural principles, policies, standards, and frameworks This position is not eligible for sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, including conversion to H1-B visa. This position has a hybrid work schedule with three days in the office and the option for working remotely two days. Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. Education Required Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or in lieu of a degree, at least 10 years of experience in experience in IT Preferred Expert-level architecture certification (e.g., TOGAF, CISSP) Skills and Experience 8+ years of experience in IT or a solution architecture role Proven experience in designing complex hardware and software solutions for large-scale IT systems Expertise in collaborating, communication, and presenting with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact business solutions Extensiv
