The Sherwin-Williams Company Lead Quality Assurance Engineer in Cleveland, Ohio

The Lead Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for using systematic tests to lead the development, application and maintenance of quality standards for firm products. The Incumbent is responsible for leading the development, modification, and execution of software test plans, automated scripts and programs for testing. They will also be responsible for all test standards and procedures, oversee documentation of test results, and provide strategic advice to the development engineers on how to address issues and debug software products. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role. The Incumbent must partner with cross-functional teams to lead and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining accurate and detailed records, and demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to changing requirements and priorities. WHAT THE ROLE WILL DO: Provide guidance and leadership to a team quality assurance engineers and devise strategies to define and implement quality standards for firm products Lead the implementation of software test plans, automated scripts and programs Review and validate test strategy, standards and procedures in alignment with leading practices, and provide guidance to junior team members as needed Oversee documentation of test results to lead debugging and modification of software Develop strategies for improvement in automation integration, test, and deployment of solution quality Proactively monitor and identify quality issues, and recommend corrective action Drive quality of test results to ensure existing functionality and provide strategic guidance to suggest appropriate corrective measures Strategically partner with development engineers to resolve complex incidents and problems that arise Provide technical feedback and oversight in the evaluation of programming languages, systems, and computation software Work outside the standard office 7.5 hour workday may be required. This position has a hybrid work schedule with three days in the office and the option for working remotely two days. Education Required Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field. In lieu of a degree, at least 12 years of experience in quality assurance engineering or software testing Preferred Quality Assurance certifications Skills and Experience Required: 6-8 years of experience in quality assurance engineering or software testing.
