The Sherwin-Williams Company Lead Application Developer, Full Stack in Cleveland, Ohio

ABOUT THE ROLE: The Lead Application Developer, Full Stack role will be responsible for leading the broader process of developing and deploying enhancements and/or new applications used in local, networked, cloud-based or internet-related computer programs. They will use their extensive expertise in programming languages, tools, and delivery models, in conjunction with their methodology expertise to collaborate with various stakeholders and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products and solutions. This role requires an expert understanding of programming languages, tools, and delivery models, as well as the ability to effectively communicate technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders. The incumbent will lead multiple stakeholders, including project teams, business analysts, and end-users, to ensure the development process is running smoothly. Ultimately, the incumbent will play a pivotal role in ensuring the organization's software applications are effective, efficient, and provide a seamless experience for the end-users. WHAT THE ROLE WILL DO: Oversee the process of analyzing system requirements by providing guidance on translating requirements into software programming specifications and mentoring the team of engineers Oversee and share perspective in the development, coding, integration, testing, and debugging of software applications using current programming languages, while leveraging the expertise of the team members and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions Drive the creation of detailed and user-friendly documentation and procedures for the installation and maintenance of software, ensuring all best practices are being followed by the team Drive strategies to manage and facilitate collaboration and communication with various stakeholders such as users, developers, and project managers to ensure timely delivery of products and solutions. Encouraging the adoption of emerging technologies and programming languages that strategically aligning with the organization's overall technology roadmap and objectives This position is not eligible for sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, including conversion to H1-B visa. This position has a hybrid work schedule with three days in the office and the option for working remotely two days. Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. Travel: 5% WHAT THE INCUMBENT WILL NEED: Education Required Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. In lieu of a degree, at least 9 years of experience in application development or application engineering Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience 6-8 years of experience in software development, specifically in application development engineering Expertise in programming languages such as SQL, Java, C#, .NET Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams Ability to mentor and coach junior developers Technical Skills Database Management Systems Front-End Development Tools Programming Languages Data Analysis Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) Methodology Front-End Coding Languages Web Services & APIs Systems Integration Software Testing & Quality Assurance Methodologies & Tools Version Control Tools Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Proficiency in PL/SQL: Oracle's procedural extension for SQL, to write complex scripts and stored procedur
