Apply for Job Job ID 12703 Location Case Main Campus Full/Part Time Full-Time Regular/Temporary Regular Add to Favorite Jobs Email this Job Job Description POSITION OBJECTIVE The Law Admissions Officer at the School of Law serves as a senior admissions officer for the school and is responsible for the day-to-day internal operations of the Admissions Office. This position reports to the Associate Dean of Admissions and the Associate Dean for Enrollment Planning and Strategic Initiatives. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Participate in strategy discussion and execute recruiting activities utilizing cost effective search methodologies and tools. Implement and oversee school's admission programs including juris doctor (both in person and online) and specialty master's degrees and certificates. Responsible for designing a process that ensures that all contacts by prospects with the law school, from the initial point of inquiry through completion of the admissions and financial aid processes and eventual matriculation, is user-friendly. Serve as the school's ambassador at up to 30 national and regional forums, law fairs, conventions, conferences, public appearances, and meetings each year. Personally counsel and advise prospective students about legal education, the practice of law, the Case Western Reserve University School of Law and the law school selection process. Manage contact with over 25,000 prospects and up to 2,500 applicants annually. (20%) Work with Associate Deans and university marketing and communications to develop and edit electronic and print marketing materials. Build digital strategies utilizing email campaigns to increase the law school's visibility and reputation throughout the country. Develop platform specific creative content for campaigns targeting audiences based on insight and data. Utilize Customer Relation Management (CRM) technology to track strategy effectiveness. Act as project manager and primary copy editor for major law school print marketing materials in collaboration with university marketing and communications. (15%) Enhance the public image of the law school through personal participation in external events. Develop, implement, and monitor strategies for effectively involving alumni in the recruiting process. Evaluate current trends in marketing and implement changes, including developing strategies to incorporate social networking sites in our marketing plan. Review and work with internal marketing manager to update law school website regularly. (10%) Develop strategy and provide direction to identify applicants and build networks. This includes building a pipeline through established networks with professionals and identifying target "feeder" schools. Develop strategy for marketing the law school nationally to various external constituencies, including a network of "prelaw advisors" at undergraduate institutions around the country. Institute comprehensive outreach program in order to maintain and increase interest among students at such institutions as well as a diverse student body, particularly as it relates to under-represented minorities. (10%) Develop recruitment methods and strategies designed to increase the application pool from targeted geographic areas. Identify communication needs for the school's external constituent groups and implement multi-faceted program for more effectively communicating the school's message to different audiences. Design and implement a comprehensive program for reaching out to accepted applicants in order to achieve increased yield. (10%) Review applicant files and make recommendations for admission. Train and supervise office staff and other file readers in appropriate file review. Apply knowledge about legal education and the standards applied for admission to the School of Law.
