Cleveland Clinic HVAC Temperature Controls Technician II in Cleveland, Ohio

On our facilities team, your job will be to create a comfortable and safe environment - just like our patients have come to expect. You'll gain experience working on a wide range of projects and HVAC systems throughout our facilities, train with the newest technology and receive guidance from fellow caregivers and management.
A caregiver in this position works evenings, 2:30PM - 11:00PM.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Inspect, repair, monitor, maintain and troubleshoot Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems and equipment throughout the facility.
Document and maintain records of inspections and work performed.
Inspect and maintain all temperature, humidity, and data logging devices, including meters and gauges.
Utilize the building management system (BMS) to address customer service requests, adjust temperature set points, and start and stop equipment.
Receive and respond to work orders from the computerized maintenance management system.
Respond to alarms and alerts appropriately.
Work at additional Cleveland Clinic locations as needed.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
High School Diploma or GED
Valid Driver's License (VDL) and insurable driving record
Three years of experience with chiller systems, reheat systems, variable frequency drives (VFD), air handling units (AHU), humidifiers, dampers, heating and cooling coils, cooling towers and/or pumps OR military experience as a Utilities Man (UT), Machinists Mate (MM), HVAC/R (3E1X1), Utilities Equipment Repairer (91C) or a similar role
Understanding of the tools and techniques used to maintain, diagnose and repair HVAC systems
Basic knowledge of building management systems
Can read blueprints

Physical Requirements:
Typical physical demands require full body motion including ability to perform work while bending, stooping, stretching and climbing ladders.
Requires dexterity and strength sufficient to operate required tools and machinery; typically required to lift and carry machinery and/or equipment weighing 25 to 100 lbs. and/or assist with lifting weights exceeding 100 lbs.
Requires color acuity sufficient to distinguish color-coded signage and systems.
Ability to work in confined spaces.
Ability to work at heights and on ladders.
