The Sherwin-Williams Company HR Intern in Cleveland, Ohio

This position provides comprehensive HR support, coordination and counsel related to a wide variety of HR activities and systems in accordance within service level agreements. Primary areas of responsibility include onboarding, HRIS data entry and approvals, performance management, time & attendance, payroll issues related to HR, and offboarding. This co-op is expected to perform responsibilities within established service level agreements by using appropriate tools, resources, and procedures to perform processes, document, and resolve inquiries and issues. Groups serviced include active employees, managers, HR business partners, coordinators, and various HR Center of Excellence subject matter experts. Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company's staff, employees, and business relationships. We are looking for a year-round co-op and the selected candidate must be available to work for 24-28 hours per week during the summer and following semesters POSITION REQUIREMENTS BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 18 years of age Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future Must be currently enrolled in an accredited four year college or university at the time of the internship Must have sophomore, junior, or senior class standing Must have a minimum GPA of 2.8 Must have experience with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and/or Power Point KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Required: Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail, accuracy and ability to maintain confidential data Demonstrated ability to work in a team Strong computer skills Adaptability to change and desire and ability to make improvements and to continuously improve processes and systems Preferred: Bilingual ability (Spanish) Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business or HR Sherwin-Williams is proud to be an Affirmative Action, Equal Employment Opportunity, Inclusion and Diversity Supportive Employer.
