Electrical Maintenance Technician Assists engineers and scientists performing project related tasks supporting new process and product development. Tasks include but are not limited to the troubleshooting and repair of primarily electrical and some mechanical systems used in the production of high purity fused quartz. Working in a cross-functional team environment, using their knowledge of electrical systems, they engage in the hands-on wiring of multiple components, programming and troubleshooting of PLC's and operation of high voltage PID controlled furnaces. The role requires a commitment to safety, attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Primary Duties: These are not to be construed as the complete list of job requirements or as any limitation to the quantity of work that may be required in the future. Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and repair of equipment up to 500VAC. Installs, operates, maintains and repairs laboratory equipment, apparatus, systems. Prepares, analyzes and processes laboratory samples. Performs chemical and/or physical analyses or scientific tests using both routine and special techniques in compliance with all safety standards. Maintain/complete test logs, repeatability studies, and test data. Submit samples for outside testing as needed Performs basic machining tasks, including operation of drills presses, Bridgeport mills, manual engine lathes, and surface grinders. Operation of testing equipment per JTAs Assist in conducting, writing, updating, and reviewing JTAs Handle SAP test reporting, report generation, certification generation, and Microsoft Excel data entry and calculations. Create and revise documents using Microsoft Word Maintain a clean and orderly work area Report maintenance requirements for the equipment used Ordering chemicals or supplies as needed Adhere to all safety requirements and work in a safe manner. General Expectations: Each employee will work safely and obey all Environmental, Health & Safety rules and procedures under all circumstances, and follow safety policies. Each employee has a responsibility to ensure the quality of our process meets or exceeds customer expectations. "Customer" may be internal, i.e. the next downstream process. Report and communicate deviations to our quality standards. You have the responsibility to immediately correct the deviation and/or report this condition to the Lab Supervisor, Process Engineer, Manager.
