Ohio Means Jobs Cleveland Cuyahoga is sourcing for a Machine Maintenance Technician. Primary Purpose: Repair and maintain mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components of production machines and equipment such as metal fabricating machine tools by perform the following duties. This position reports to the department foreman. Duties: * Visually inspect and listen to machines and equipment to locate and diagnose cause of malfunctions Dismantle machines an equipment to gain access to problem area. Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment or other problems. Remove and replace worn or defective parts Realigns and adjust components such as spindles and clutches. Starts machines and equipment to test run operation following repair to guarantee effectiveness Understands ISO 9001:2000 policies and record keeping pertaining to work area Understands company safety policies and procedures. *Performance Measures: * Ass assigned by the supervisor and reviewed by the VP. Ability to perform duties in a timely manner, perform duties with minimal supervision. Maintains a working knowledge of duties assigned. *Physical Demands: Standing, walking, sitting, talking or hearing, use of hands ability to balance, stoop, kneel, this job requires weight be lifted up to 50lbs Other responsibilities for this position: Language skills: must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
