The Office of the University Registrar seeks a business system analyst that is detail-oriented and independent-minded who enjoys working on student system projects from requirements gathering to go live and working with project stakeholders. The Business System Analyst will serve as a key member of the Office of the University Registrar team. Function as business/project manager for one or more functional modules, balancing multiple projects and priorities within and also across modules and customers, both internal and external. Responsible for complete project life cycle, working independently and with emphasis on all customer- facing activities including implementing a strategic plan, including metrics and goals, in order to maximize the university¿s investment in the Student Information System (SIS). Has a demonstrated ability and commitment to collaboration in order to develop partnerships with a variety of customers across and within schools, departments, and functional areas as well as external vendors. Translate complex business and operational requirements into designs and technical specifications. Is responsible for systems analyses and development activities for large scale systems applications and processes that are complex and of significant operational impact to enhance the utilization of the Student Information System and the efficiency and effectiveness of student information services in all parts of the university, including but not limited to Student Financials Services, Financial Aid, Registrar, and Admissions functions in all schools and colleges of the university. Work significantly affects multiple departments within a division or school. Job has an immediate-term impact. Follow departmental procedures to complete work, but may recommend changes to departmental processes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Systems Analysis and Design: Write system requirement and/or specification documents. Ensure business systems solutions are functional and meet requirements. Translate between customers and UTech staff or vendors to ensure mutual understanding of systems needs, requirements, and technology parameters. Analyze systems interface requirements and coordinate data exchange within and outside the university. Assure accuracy and integrity for the integration and migration of data between systems. (25%)
Customer Support and Training: Determine training and support needs of customers. Create a change management action plan. Coordinate and provide customer support for assigned applications.
