ABOUT THE ROLE: The Associate Quality Assurance Engineer role is responsible for supporting systematic tests used to develop and maintain quality standards for firm products. The Incumbent is responsible for supporting software test plans, automated scripts and programs for testing. They will work under the supervision of an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to learn how to support the analysis and writing of test standards and procedures. They will gain an understanding of how to maintain documentation of test results and identify opportunities to address issues and debug software products. Solid analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role. The incumbent must work collaboratively with experienced Quality Assurance Engineers and other teams to participate in multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changing requirements and priorities. WHAT THE ROLE WILL DO: Participate in debugging software products by understanding and searching for improvement opportunities in systematic tests used to develop and maintain quality standards for firm products Draft software test plans, automated scripts and programs for testing with guidance from more experienced team members Research and gather helpful resources to support writing test strategy, standards and procedures in alignment with leading practices Assist with preparing and maintaining test result documentation, ensure it is accurate and up-to-date for debugging and modification of software products Research leading practices to help identify improvement opportunities to automate integration, test, and deployment of solution quality Identify quality issues and report up to senior team members with summarized findings Participate in the monitoring and analyzing of test results and offer insights on improvement opportunities Observe and assist development engineers performing incident and problem resolution Education Required Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or in lieu of a degree, at least 2 years of experience in quality assurance engineering or software testing Preferred Quality Assurance certifications Skills and Experience 0-2 years of experience in quality assurance engineering or software testing Familiarity with software testing standards, policies, methodologies, tools, and processes Solid analytical and problem-solving skills Good written and verbal communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams Retail industry experience Java programming experience Selenium/Cucumber and PostMan/RestAssured framework knowledge Technical Skills Programming Languages Data Analysis Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) Methodology Continuous Improvement and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) DevOps Methodology Web Services & APIs Systems Integration Build Tools and Compilers Security Testing Tools & Techniques Software Testing & Quality Assurance Methodologies & Tools Operating Systems Version Control Tools Monitoring and Logging Automated Testing Tools Sherwin-Williams is proud to be an Affirmative Action, Equal Employment Opportunity, Inclusion and Diversity Supportive Employer.
