MetroHealth Manager Infusion Services Pharmacy - Cleveland Heights in CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio

Location: Cleveland Heights Health Center

Biweekly Hours: 80.00

Shift: 7 a - 6 p

Summary:

Manages the efficient and effective operation of a special services pharmacy site which may include infusion, surgical care and emergency services along with providing medications for clinic practices thru patient specific orders or contingent stock in a manual system or with automated dispensing units. Serves as the Responsible Pharmacist with all associated legal responsibility for assuring compliance with federal, state and local drug laws. Supervises and manages the personnel staff at the ambulatory pharmacy site. Responsible for assuring fiscal compliance. Focuses on customer service issues in ambulatory pharmacy. Upholds the standards of the system-wide customer service program.

Qualifications:

Required: Current pharmacist license in state of Ohio to practice. Meets legal requirements to become Responsible Pharmacist and meets DEA regulations to be able to order, stock, handle and dispense controlled substances. Two (2) years pharmacist experience compounding hazardous and non-hazardous aseptic I.V. preparations along with distributing medications with an automated dispensing unit. Demonstrated knowledge of pharmaceutical reimbursement.

Preferred: One (1) year in managerial role preferred. Pharm.D degree and/or American Society of Health Systems Pharmacists accredited residency. Demonstrated effectiveness in time management, supervision of support staff, problem identification and resolution and decision making.

Physical Demands: May need to move around intermittently during the day, including sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and ambulating. May need to remain still for extended periods, including sitting and standing. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to read job related documents. Ability to use computer.
