Working at our Clearwater location:

Clearwater is a provider of engineering, circuit card assembly, OEM Avionics, and MRO services to commercial and military customers. Products and technologies here are diverse and highly sophisticated. Role Overview:

The Original Equipment (OE) Operations Manager will lead and support daily plant operations for the Clearwater site. The role is responsible for leading OE personnel and coordinating day-to-day commercial and military production. The OE Business Leader will provide overall departmental leadership and be a key team member of the site staff.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the OE business in order to reach defined targets in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

  • Manage a team of salaried employees, which includes production supervisors who lead hourly employees. Demonstrate servant leadership, using influencing skills to challenge the status quo versus directing.

  • Lead activities to promote manufacturing improvements and cost reduction to further develop Clearwater as an Electronics Center of Excellence (COE).

  • Lead measurement standardization and systematic change management to support Clearwater site Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and problem-solving processes.

  • Lead KPI measurement, root cause and corrective actioning, and indicator identification.

  • Establish control plans, daily standard work, and visual management around KPIs in the shop.

  • Participate in internal capacity/growth planning activities.

  • Present product/program strategies, technical roadmaps, risks, and recommendations to senior leaders across GE Aerospace.

  • Communicate recommendations and solutions across the organization and with cross-functional partner organizations.

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 9 years of experience in manufacturing)

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading people within a manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications :

  • 8+ years of experience leading people within a manufacturing environment

  • Aviation electronics manufacturing experience

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and organize across functional disciplines

  • Ability to segment market strategically, identify and champion action plans to achieve growth

  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs

  • Experience leading hourly and salary employees

  • Experience leading Kaizen events including pre-work

  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
