The Director of Medical Staff Services is a critical leadership role and spans over the BayCare Health System.

Director of Medical Staff Services Summary:

• Responsible for leading and effectively managing the Medical Staff Services functions at both inpatient and outpatient locations.

• Day-to-day Responsibilities include:

• Leadership and management of a high-functioning central Credentials Verification Office (CVO) function

• Entity privileging processes

• Regulatory oversight and compliance

• Management of medical staff credentials committees, central Continuing Medical Education (CME), and Institutional Research Board (IRB).

Minimum Qualifications:

Required Experience:

• Requires at least 10 years of progressive experience managing and leading medical staff functions for a large academic medical center or health system, including direct oversight of medical staff credentialing.

• Demonstrated experience in credentialing, privileging, physician performance/peer review processes and working with physician leaders is required.

Required Education:

• Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration; Hospital Administration; Or Healthcare Law

Required License/Certification :

• National Association of Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) certifications including:

• (1) Certified Credentialing Provider Specialist (CPCS); and

• (2) Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM).
