Shift: 1st shift, Monday - Friday 7:30AM - 4:00PM

Summary:

This position is the point of contact for warehouse (raw material) and distribution (finished goods) operations at GT where the incumbent receives material/product orders from customers and receipts from suppliers. This position sets daily shift priorities based on these orders to meet the schedule by giving direction to the floor Supervisor, Shipper/Receiver Coordinators, Sr. Order Clerk, and other employees. As a skilled specialist using SAP, this position supports Supply Chain SAP related projects, provides guidance to peers, and trains/coaches department employees. This position is responsible for controlling raw material and finished goods inventory throughout receipt, on test / quarantine, off test and shipping.

Job Description:

  • Manages finished good inventory utilizing SAP modules and interacts daily with the Domestic Customer Service Manager, International Customer Service Manager, Quality Assurance, Logistics, and other stakeholders to ensure no interruptions in the shipping schedule. Coordinates all customer orders for finished goods both domestic and international and instructs shipping employees in processing and re-allocating problem deliveries and transfer orders. Monitors finished goods inventory levels and maintains SAP IM and WM inventory adjustment transactions, including disposition of SAP Sample, Scrap, Returns, Damage and Product write-off inventory.

  • Perform warehouse raw material receipt operations by performing SAP transactions including Goods Receipts (GR) and Transfer Orders (TO). Investigates and resolves issues with packing list, unit conversions, purchase orders, inventory issues and correcting receipts in SAP.

  • Executes raw material request from Production and other departments by converting SAP Transfer Requirements (TRs) to TOs while ensuring inventory control rules are followed. Works closely with floor Supervisor to prioritize TO picking, labeling and delivery to Production based on schedule and urgency.

  • Control possible nonconforming product by executing moves to quarantine in SAP and working with QA. Receives, verifies, and generates documentation of customer returns (i.e., recalls, in-transit damage, returns, etc.) for review and disposition by Management. Responsible for product serial number management in SAP ATTP for all returns and samples.

  • Creates stock transport orders and deliveries for plant-to-plant shipments of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods. Maintains proper allocation of finished products for sales by using the Batch Allocation System once released by QA. Clears inconsistencies in batches by QA function MSCN2.

  • Collects and analyzes data and generates reports for raw material and finished goods KPIs, expiring material in finished goods storage, and others as directed by management.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Must pass a Security Threat Analysis by TSA for this position.

  • General knowledge of distribution Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)/ Federal Drug Administration (FDA) requirements on shipment documentation.

  • Strong knowledge of Inventory Management (IM)/ Waste Management (WM) inventory applications in SAP.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to identify and resolve errors.

Position Requirements:

  • High School diploma; Typically requires 2 years of related experience. Depending on the area of assignment, directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the state requirements.

Occupational Demands:

  • Work is performed in a warehouse environment. Exposure to chemicals and to electrical manufacturing equipment and moving machinery. Exposure to high levels of noise. Occasional entry into confined spaces, requiring kneeling, crawling, and squatting. Works at heights on scaffolding and/or on ladders. Operates forklifts, tractors, and power equipment. Personal protective equipment required such as protective eyewear, safety shoes, gloves, and hearing protection. May walk; stand, bend, and twists waist for 2-4 hours per day. Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists. Ability to make precise coordinated movements, of the fingers to grasp and manipulate objects. Repetitive foot movement. Light to moderate lifting and carrying of 15-44lbs. for 2-4 hours per day. Heavy lifting and carrying of 45lbs.and over for 2-4 hours per day with a maximum lift of 75lbs. Hearing acuity essential. Depth perception and far vision correctable in one eye to 20/30 and to 20/100 in the other eye. Able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken and written words and sentences. Performs simple and repetitive tasks that vary little each day by following a set of written or oral instructions/procedures. Maintains work pace to meet production standards.
