Shift: 12 hour rotating - 6a-6p, 6p-6a - 2 on 5 off, 5 on 2 off

The Maintenance Inventory Control Clerk regulates the flow of spare parts to ensure availability for maintenance, engineering, and other equipment-related production support on a 24/7 basis. The attendant is responsible for receiving, inventorying, and issuing storeroom items.

Primary responsibilities for role:

  • Control Inventory through the use of a Computerized Maintenance Management System

  • Pull and stage parts required for Work Orders. Retrieve parts from satellite storage areas and ensure they are in usable condition

  • Obtain pricing and place orders for identified spare parts

  • Receive inventory from Vendors, inspect for quantity and quality before accepting order. Resolve discrepancies between parts ordered and parts received.

  • Ensure received items correspond to purchase orders and packing slips, and address discrepancies as they arise. Return incorrect parts to vendors as necessary.

  • Investigate overdue or incomplete shipments

  • Assist loading and unloading vendor trucks

  • Place items in the appropriate storeroom location for easy retrieval

  • Ensure material clearance parts are only checked out for appropriate use

  • Maintain inventory accuracy by performing ABC cycle counting.

  • Staff the storeroom customer service window and provide excellent customer service

  • Coordinate repairable spares

  • Request Quotes

  • Transfer equipment from Grifols personnel to vendor

  • Operate vehicles to retrieve inventory, including an electric indoor forklift and Parker-Dunn electric truck. Retrieve parts from remote storage locations in a timely manner.

  • Ensure stocked parts security

  • Maintain housekeeping in storeroom and additional assigned areas

  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures

  • Adhere to cGMP, Safety, and Environmental procedures

  • Responsible for maintaining training curriculum requirements

  • Communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal form

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Develop knowledge and skills needed perform job as required by the area of responsibility

  • Responsible for purchasing, expediting, and stocking all maintenance and utility materials. Perform necessary follow up, expediting activities. Communicate status to customers ensuring timely delivery.

  • Review Maintenance Storeroom Inventory Request Forms and enter Item Master data into the CMMS.

  • Maintain parts and materials in such a manner as to minimize losses and damage. Ensure that returned inventory items are restocked properly.

  • Implement required adjustments, additions and deletions of store items to maintain and support production equipment, utilities and facilities in an economical manner to prevent duplication of consumable and repair materials.

  • Perform periodic cycle counts of parts inventory as randomly generated from Maximo. Communicate and properly document anomalies found in cycle counts. Track, identify cause of, and resolve missing inventory

  • Ensure coordination between received items, packing lists, bin locations, purchase orders, and data entry

  • May perform training of other attendants in areas of proficiency as needed

Knowledge, skills & abilities:

  • Able to work independently

  • Communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal form

  • Build positive working relationships with cross-functional teams across multiple business units

  • Able to operate PCs and software such as MS Office Suite and Maximo

  • Understand current Good Manufacturing Practice requirements

  • Understand warehouse safety, industrial plant safety and environment requirements

  • Maintain composure during stressful events and find alternative solutions under pressure

  • Knowledge of maintenance terminology of parts, tools and industrial supplies

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • 2 years' experience in warehouse management, inventory control, maintenance, manufacturing, or construction disciplines required.

  • Customer service experience preferred.

Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment. Frequently sits for 6-8 hours per day. Frequent hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists. Occasionally walks and stands. Occasionally bends and twists neck. Light to moderate lifting and carrying objects with a maximum lift of 25lbs. Frequently drives to site locations with occasional travel within the United States. Able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken and written words and sentences. Interacts with others, relates sensitive information to diverse groups. Must work with diverse groups to obtain consensus on issues.
