Job Title: Electrician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled commercial electrician responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial buildings such as offices, retail stores, and public buildings.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings.

  • Work with blueprints to determine the layout of electrical systems.

  • Pull wire, bend conduit, and perform electrical wiring tasks.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues efficiently.

  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with electrical codes and standards.

  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and team members to complete projects.

Essential Skills

  • Extensive understanding of commercial electrical systems and the latest wiring technology.

  • Ability to diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently.

  • Precision in following electrical codes and standards.

  • Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.

  • Good communication skills to interact with clients, contractors, and team members.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Must have Delaware Journeyman certification or an NJ certification and be willing to apply quickly for the Delaware certification via reciprocal.

  • Experience with warehouse and multi-family housing projects.

  • Experience as a foreman or running projects is beneficial but not required.

  • Completion of an apprenticeship program or technical school training.

  • Several years of experience working as an electrician, preferably in a commercial setting.

  • Must hold a valid electrician’s license.

Work Environment

The job is located in Claymont, DE, involving commercial construction for a new warehouse fit-out. The role requires work in a commercial construction setting, demanding physical tasks and adherence to safety standards.
