Job Title: Mechanical Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to oversee a turnaround/outage project occurring in late October at a mineral refinery. The Mechanical Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and managed appropriately. The projects range from small upgrades to pumps and valves, to mechanical/electrical upgrades, and supporting larger heavy equipment upgrades during the outage/turnaround. You will report directly to the Capital Project Superintendent.

Responsibilities

• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

• Manage a wide array of projects, from small upgrades to large heavy equipment upgrades.

• Coordinate and oversee mechanical and electrical upgrades.

• Support larger projects during the outage/turnaround period.

• Report project progress and issues to the Capital Project Superintendent.

Essential Skills

• Project management experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.

• Strong mechanical experience.

• Experience in managing projects during heavy industrial outages/turnarounds/shutdowns.

• Ability to keep projects on time, on budget, and managed appropriately.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Project or Primavera software.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Project Manager within a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.

• Experience in project coordination and engineering.

• Experience in construction management.

Work Environment

The work environment includes both the plant floor and office settings. The role involves working in a heavy industrial setting with exposure to the various stages of mineral processing.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $85.00/hr.
