Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Quality Assurance Risk Management Specialist - Clarks Summit State Hospital in Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania

Reference #: 4585357 THE POSITION Would you like to capitalize on your experience where you have the ability to lead complex projects by helping to bring an electronic health record (EHR) system to Clarks Summit State Hospital (CSSH)? CSSH provides hospital-based inpatient psychiatric services to adults and along with the other state hospitals, is currently planning for implementation of an EHR in late 2024. We are seeking a highly-organized, self-motivated Quality Assurance/Risk Management (QA-RM  Specialist) to lead CSSH's fast-paced EHR planning and implementation processes plus post-implementation EHR use and maintenance as CSSH's EHR Liaison. This position will also serve as CSSH's Consultative Reviewer of Nursing Home Referrals to evaluate nursing home referrals from other state hospitals and recommend whether a nursing home is the appropriate placement for the patient. DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a QA-RM Specialist, you will be tasked with facilitating compliance with multiple sets of operating requirements such as federal and state laws and regulations. Work includes writing effective policies, procedures, and instructions, distilling large volumes of technical and nontechnical information into salient informative and/or actionable key points, and extensively examining complex, dynamic issues impacting patients, multiple disciplines, and/or multiple state hospitals. This role will require you to be proactive while identifying, mitigating, and resolving risks, liabilities, deficiencies, noncompliance, gaps, and opportunities for improvement. You will also be troubleshooting problems with technology function, access, and/or availability. The work of this position requires a high degree of independence, accuracy, attention to detail, critical thinking, initiative, organization, efficiency, objectivity, and timeliness.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment. FREE PARKING!

Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Work schedule may change based on operational needs.

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of professional experience as a member of a multiple disciplinary treatment team in a public or private health care facility and a bachelor's degree; or Two years of clinical experience in an human services agency, including one year of administrative, evaluative, or consultative experience in a health care program; and a bachelor's degree with major course work in social work, nursing, health care administration, behavioral sciences or a related field; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
