Location : Clark, New Jersey (Hybrid)

We are seeking a Manager to join our Mergers & Acquisitions team in our Clark, New Jersey site.

As a Manager in the Mergers & Acquisitions team, your main responsibilities are:

  • Investigates the products portfolio of the new brands considered as potential acquisitions or investments and summarizes such a portfolio in a detailed technical document to facilitate the review by the R&I Acquisition team.

  • Organizes and coordinates the R&I Pre-Assessment, Pre-Due Diligence and Due Diligence reviews with product categories, International Ingredient Innovation, Product Safety, Regulatory, Claims, Microbiology, and other appropriate support teams on the Acquisition projects. Acts under the supervision of the Head of the R&I Mergers & Acquisitions.

  • Summarizes the reviews in the appropriate formal documents to be presented to the R&I Senior Management team.

  • Develops and maintains a compatible and open working relationship with all other departments including at the Brand/Business Division and the M&A team in Hudson Yards, the Operations team, the R&I Métiers, and R&I support groups ( International Ingredient Innovation, Product Safety, Regulatory, Claims, Microbiology, Open Development, and Patents Department) contributing to the Acquisition brands investigation and review.

  • Plans and executes all departmental system requirements whose objective is to save time through minimization of error, elimination of redundant or repetitive tasks and the assurance of clarity of purpose of all departmental actions.

  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as strong presentation abilities.

  • Works constantly in a multi-tasking manner, with a developed sense of urgency and flexibility, organizes all the Acquisition Project meetings, issues meeting minutes with appropriate action plans while motivating the teams involved in the review.

  • Interacts decisively, quickly, effectively, fairly, and harmoniously with fellow researchers and groups inside and outside of R&I at all levels.

  • Has an absolute respect for the confidentiality of all projects.

    To Succeed In This Position, You Have:

  • A completed Bachelors or Masters degree is required. Areas of study include Biological, Physical or Material Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or related fields

  • A minimum of 5-years of relevant experience in cosmetic and personal care industry is required

  • Hands on experience in cosmetic and personal care product development and formulation is preferred.

  • Knowledge or experience in mergers, acquisitions and business integrations OR deep knowledge and understanding about Personal Care Development organization and requirements is required.

  • Be able to work under pressure along with strong time constraints and handle multiple and complex tasks of the project simultaneously.

  • Sensitive to various cosmetic products attributes. Creative and self-motivated.

  • Be able to think creatively and willing to take an extra step to complete projects.

  • Excellent organizational, communication and presentation skills.

  • Foreign language skill such as Spanish and/or French is a plus.

  • The ability to be onsite, in the office as this is an essential function of the position (required)

  • Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent, ongoing basis without the need for legal sponsorship now or in the future (required)
