Paraeducator -- CTE Automotive Technology -- (9-month position 185 Days)            

LOCATION:                         Magnus Building B in the morning and Gladwin High School in the afternoon   REPORTS TO:                      * Classroom Teacher and CTE Director   *HOURS:                                  7.25 hours per day; Monday - Friday   WAGES:                                 According to the MEA Contract   STARTING DATE:               * As soon as possible   *PRIMARY FUNCTION:  To assist CTE Automotive instructor in supervision of lab safety, individualized student support, and preparation of CTE Program reporting requirements.   QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:  

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to work effectively with all students, including special education students
• Preferred but not required: knowledge of and experience with working in automotive technology
• Excellent communication skills with both students and other adults
• Organizational skills required for keeping tools, equipment and documents organized
• Physical stamina and ability to lift minimum of 50 pounds

• Basic technology skills, preferred
