WorkSource Oregon Manufacturing Engineering Technician in Clackamas, Oregon

Astronics-PECO is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to provide technical and administrative support to company\'s manufacturing engineers and operations personnel. This position\'s primary role is supporting the manufacturability of components for new and existing product groups. You will act as a technical support liaison for Engineering, production, and suppliers. You will also participate in qualifying suppliers for components. Duties and Responsibilities: Create, modify and revise manufacturing work instructions and flow documentation Review customer prints and specifications to determine changes to existing products and/or processes to improve quality and reduce cost Enter, review and revise MRP routings and bills of materials (BOMs) for existing and new products Work with purchasing to provide drawings and specifications for part procurement requirements Assist with the design of tooling and fixtures for manufacturing; performs routine repair and maintenance on tooling and fixtures Maintain and report data measuring manufacturing performance Attend Quality Manual Standards Training and applies Quality Standards accordingly Provide general support to manufacturing personnel, including troubleshooting assistance, workflow improvement, training and root cause evaluation. Support safety and security procedures Requirements: Associates degree in a technical discipline and 3-5 years of experience providing technical support in a manufacturing environment or an equivalent combination of training and experience Hands on experience with Molding, Machining & Assembly, Preferred Familiarity with AutoCAD and Solid Works, preferred Experience in semi-automated manufacturing environment, Preferred Experience with computer-based ECO systems and BOM maintenance Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred Ability to lift up to 50lbs throughout shift Strong familiarity with automated MRP systems A high degree of mechanical aptitude Excellent written and verbal communication skills Willing and Able to travel on short notice, infrequently High level of comfort working with computer software and proficiency with MS Office applications Employment Eligibility Requirements: Must be a US Person (under ITAR rules) to be eligible An offer of employment is contingent on successfully passing a pre-employment background and drug screening (including cannabis).
