Amergis Physical Therapist (School) - ST in City of Industry, California
The Physical Therapist is responsible for performing student evaluations, as well as providing and documenting therapy services in accordance with plan of care developed for each student and per physician’s orders when applicable. Patient Assessment:
Patient Assessment:
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical conditions, medical histories, and functional abilities.
Develop personalized treatment plans based on assessments and patient goals.
Treatment Implementation:
Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and other modalities to improve patient mobility and function.
Educate patients on proper exercise techniques, body mechanics, and injury prevention strategies.
Progress Monitoring:
Regularly assess and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
Communicate with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
Patient Education:
Provide education on home exercise programs and lifestyle modifications to support recovery and prevent future injuries.
Offer guidance on the use of assistive devices such as crutches, walkers, and braces.
Administrative Tasks:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and billing information.
Schedule patient appointments and manage clinic workflow.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other healthcare providers, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nurses, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Participate in team meetings and case conferences to discuss patient progress and treatment strategies.
Minimum Requirements:
Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of practice
Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy
One (1) year of prior professional Physical Therapy experience preferred
Current CPR if applicable
TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
