Ferguson has a position open for an Operations Manager at our customer site located in City Of Industry, CA.

This position will support procurement of MRO – CUTTING TOOL materials at our customer location. This position would be onsite in a AEROSPACE manufacturing environment and would work side by side with our customer providing procurement services and operational logistics.

The Operations Manager is the point of contact for all local requests and works closely with various departments and partners through the facility to drive cost savings and implement efficiencies for plant functions.

Job Duties

Manage all business components of the location:

  • Leading the onsite customer’s internal logistics for all MRO – CUTTING TOOL products

  • Build and maintain vendor relationships as well as customer relationships

  • Supporting and Managing 2 Vending Machines

  • Managing spot buy purchases and receiving

  • Sourcing and procurement, reporting, cost reduction, and margin improvement

  • Review and maintain inventory levels

  • Act within the scope of established objectives and policies to accomplish assigned goals

  • Develop and recommend specific courses of action based on analysis of special requests for management or internally generated opportunities

  • Formulate and implement policies on processes to improve service, enhance the supply chain, and increase return on investment

  • Maintain the safety and security of the Branch in accordance with OSHA standards and enforce all policies, rules, regulations and procedures set by the organization

  • Maintain documents according to record retention policy

  • Perform 5S audits

  • Ensure cycle counts are being conducted

  • Participate in leadership meetings and represent associate concerns, policies and guidelines to the management team

  • Represent the organization to customers, associates and leadership as needed

Qualifications

  • 2 + years’ experience in purchasing/procurement required

  • Purchasing/Supply Chain Management certification preferred

  • Experience working in a union environment preferred**

  • Prior INDUSTRIAL CUTTING TOOL industry experience preferred

  • Ability to organize and prioritize work

  • Ability to effectively communicate in writing & verbally

  • Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations to groups

  • Ability to efficiently operate computers, tablets, and mobile devices

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.)

Pay Range:

$4,743.90 - $10,436.80

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
