Jr Voice Support Engineer

Location: Remote

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday

Contract Details: 6-Month Contract to Hire

Pay Rate: $35/hr

Job Overview:

We are looking for a Voice Support Engineer to join our team. This is a junior-level role where you will assist in developing site migration processes, setting standards, and providing support for our client’s voice, contact center, and carrier management systems. We are seeking someone with a foundational understanding of voice, video, and contact center design, implementation, maintenance, and support. While extensive experience is not required, a basic knowledge of On-Prem, UCaaS, and CCaaS technologies is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Global UC Migration Projects: Assist in the migration and support of unified communication systems on a global scale.

  • Collaborate on Design and Service Improvements: Work with business units to develop new designs and implement service improvements.

  • Support Communication Infrastructure: Monitor, maintain, and provide support for UC voice, AWS Connect for CC, and Microsoft Teams.

  • Manage Technology Life Cycle: Assist in the lifecycle management of UCaaS and CCaaS technologies.

Specific Duties:

  • Request and evaluate network cost proposals from SIP carriers.

  • Prepare and manage QROM requests for various sites.

  • Conduct site meetings and participate in weekly technical discussions.

  • Review CSRs and set up carrier accounts.

  • Ensure services are correctly established under appropriate legal entities and VAT compliance.

  • Forecast expenditures and create purchase orders for SIP carriers.

  • Manage porting orders and coordinate with providers for site contact meetings and cutovers.

Team Support:

  • Work with carriers for circuit management, porting, and site migrations.

  • Assist in the migration from legacy circuit types to SIP in collaboration with carriers and customers.

  • Contribute to development and support within UCaaS, CCaaS, and related IT disciplines.

  • Support UC and network operations using direct connect VLPS and SDWAN.

  • Implement and support software-defined networking solutions, including VMware NSX and other SDN/SDWAN technologies.

  • Troubleshoot and support SIP, VOIP, Microsoft Teams, WebEx, Avaya, and Audio Codes Client.

  • Assist in global support models and collaborate on client design, particularly with Audiocodes.

  • Work with Polycom Video endpoints, WebRTC, Skype for Business, Microsoft Teams, and WebEx.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:

  • 5 years of experience in carrier management, circuit porting, and site migrations.

  • 5 years of experience in migrating from legacy circuit types to SIP.

  • 5 years of experience in development, support, UCaaS, and CCaaS-related IT disciplines (or 7 years without a degree).

  • Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in UC and network support, including direct connect VLPS and SDWAN.

  • Experience with software-defined networking solutions such as VMware NSX.

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting SIP, VOIP, Microsoft Teams, WebEx, Avaya, and Audio Codes Client.

  • Familiarity with solution design principles, system development methodologies, and software lifecycles.

  • Experience in coordinating vendor solutions and working effectively with vendors.

  • Knowledge of global support models and client design, particularly with Audiocodes.

  • Experience with Polycom Video endpoints, WebRTC, Skype for Business, Microsoft Teams, and WebEx.
