Position Description:

• Lead and act as a resource for TSS II staff at site; organize shift tasks to assure most efficient use of resources and time available without compromising safety and security of clients or staff
• Actively supervise and engage clients to create a safe and therapeutic environment, including planning, implementing and supporting therapeutic/educational activities
• Utilize approved techniques to maintain safety of clients and staff including crisis de-escalation and conflict management; be cognizant of special behavior plans for clients
• Promote healthy and professional relationships with and between clients, including helping clients learn to make appropriate decisions
• Utilize a trauma-informed approach when dealing with clients and families
• Maintain health and safety standards within the facility
• Complete accurate and timely documentation utilizing designated software
• Respond to emergencies or incidents through approved practices and protocols
• Operate vehicle to transport clients as required

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Intermediate level problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task
• Effective use of computer and basic data management for record keeping purposes
• Basic conflict resolution/crisis management skills and techniques
• Learn and practice program specific principles such as Trauma Informed Care and Crisis Intervention (once trained)
• Driving if required by program

Job Requirements:

• High School Graduate or High School Equivalency
• At least 21 years of age
• 1-3 years experience in similar setting
