As a Co-op at Valvoline the individual will primarily work in Valvoline’s Cincinnati Manufacturing Plant. The individual will share responsibilities with Plant Engineering, EH&S, and Operations. Project work will include working on Valvoline’s implementation of newest software’s, working on developing and implementing continuous improvement projects, small capital projects/management, and data analytics to help justify resource allocations. During the one-year program, the Co-op will be part of Valvoline’s winning team, working with Valvoline’s Plant to deliver both plant and corporate level projects that will give the student hands on experience while helping drive their growth strategy.

Training will be on the job training (OJT) as required.

Job Duties:

  • Participate and lead process and safety improvement projects focused in a production and packaging environment. This will include sourcing the project, collecting data/information, engineering design, sourcing solutions, and implementation (including MOC's & worker engagement).

  • Support global operations and the COE in software evaluation, design and implementation that will provide the manufacturing supply chain improvements in worker connectivity, data analytics, EHS/Quality/Productivity performance and support the Supply Chain 4.0 initiative.

  • Delivering project’s results and presentation to stakeholders and upper management

What You'll Need:

  • A foundation in process engineering skills.

  • Prior experience working in the consumer-packaged goods industry - preferred

  • Project management/leadership and cross functional process development.

  • Lean Six Sigma, or Toyota production system knowledge.

  • Experience working in data analytics and data visualization.
