Robert Half is supporting a local healthcare client in need of a contract to hire Staff Accountant. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join a busy finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance within the healthcare industry, with a keen understanding of healthcare regulations and financial management practices. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial integrity and success of our organization.

General Accounting:

• Perform daily accounting tasks such as reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts as well as general ledger entries.

• Prepare and post monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries.

Financial Reporting:

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

• Generate and analyze financial reports to support management decision-making.

• Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Assist in the development and monitoring of annual budgets and forecasts.

• Analyze budget variances and provide recommendations for cost control and efficiency improvements.

Compliance and Auditing:

Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Ensure compliance with healthcare financial regulations, including Medicare and Medicaid requirements.

Maintain accurate and organized financial records in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Special Projects:

• Participate in financial process improvements and system upgrades.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on various projects to enhance operational efficiency and financial performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with at least 1 year in the healthcare industry.

• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Online) and Microsoft Excel.

• Strong understanding of GAAP and healthcare financial regulations.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Experience in Bookkeeping

• Ability to perform Bookkeeping Functions

• Experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper

• Ability to perform Full Charge Bookkeeping
