Description: A Sr. Level Mechanical Engineer job in Cincinnati, OH is currently available at Belcan. This is a full-time, direct opportunity with benefits. To be considered for this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.

Mechanical Engineer for Warranty Support - Job Duties:

• Facilitate technical analysis of warranty claims for purpose of confirming and communicating claim validity

• Work with customer or field service reps as necessary to corroborate submitted information or request additional information or pictures

• Provide recommendations for proper processing within the hardware return database

• Evaluate engine hardware arriving from field / base

• Provide recommendations to warranty program manager regarding repair or replacement of hardware on valid claims

• Disposition the hardware as applicable in coordination with warranty manager

• Evaluate supplier quotes for warranty items

• Analyze and communicate warranty trends and cost avoidance opportunities

• Conduct analysis to determine if engineering evaluation is required at any time during the warranty claim process

• Create 4-blockers and presentations to support claim rejections or disputes

• Support engineering in determining repairs, limit changes, and training for cost reduction

• Assist warranty manager in the development of reports and briefings for applicable program reviews milestones and deliverables using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

• Participate in meetings as required

• Visit the customer part warehouses in the greater Cincinnati area

• Support initiatives to improve and simplify warranty claim validation process, and improve warranty claim turn-around time to reduce delinquencies and penalties

• Perform administrative tasks as necessary to communicate and document claim status and findings

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or similar

• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder)

• 15+ years of aerospace industry experience and knowledge of jet propulsion

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of GE Aerospace F110 engine product line

• Jet engine maintenance and repair

• Import and export control requirements for shipping military engine hardware

Compensation:

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $100,000 to $120,000 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
