The College of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematology and Oncology, is recruiting for a full-time Sr. Research Associate. Essential Functions Planning of research programs. Design and interpretation of experiments. Training and mentoring of research team, including UC undergraduate or graduate students, research associates, and/or postdoctoral fellows in our divisional labs. Carry out research utilizing techniques such as: RNAi and CRISPR/CAS9 technologies for gene silencing and editing, expression profiling and chromatin immunoprecipitation. PCR. DNA transfection. Gene transduction with recombinant replication deficient viruses. Western blotting/cell biology techniques: cellular viability assays, cell migration assays, live imaging, confocal imaging, tri-dimensional growth assays, patient derived tumor organoid generation and maintenance. Mouse cancer models: generation of genetically engineered mice, mouse colony management, design and execution of pre-clinical drug studies, characterization of tumorigenesis, tumor xenograft experiments. Required Education Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field. Required Experience Three (3) years of experience in related field, process or discipline. Additional Qualifications Considered Advanced degree. Physical Requirements/Work Environment Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
