Details: Job Title: Senior Manufacturing Engineer Location: Remote Pay Rate: $45.00-60.00/hour Shift: 1st Employment Type: Full Time, Direct Position Overview: Belcan is seeking a skilled Senior Manufacturing Planning Engineer to support a leading aircraft customer in a remote capacity. The focus of this role is on manufacturing planning, developing detailed work instructions, and ensuring efficient and effective production workflows. Key Responsibilities: *Develop and implement manufacturing process plans and detailed work instructions to support the production of advanced aerospace systems. *Translate engineering designs and eBOMs (Engineering Bills of Materials) into MBOMs (Manufacturing Bills of Materials) and actionable production plans. *Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize build sequences, workflow efficiency, and resource utilization. *Identify and resolve manufacturing challenges, ensuring processes align with quality and compliance standards (e.g., AS9100). *Evaluate production readiness, contributing to Production Readiness Reviews (PRR) with inputs on material maturity, process capability, workforce readiness, and tooling adequacy. *Support the integration of new processes and technology into manufacturing operations. *Maintain and update manufacturing documentation, ensuring accuracy and alignment with the latest design revisions. *Utilize MES software to monitor and manage production tasks, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met. Required Skills & Qualifications: *Bachelor"s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution. *5 to 15+ years of experience in manufacturing planning, process documentation, and creating work instructions in an aerospace or industrial environment. *Proficiency in manufacturing planning tools and software, including MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems). *Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting engineering designs, specifications, and technical documentation. *Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate across remote teams and present manufacturing plans effectively. *U.S. citizenship required due to project restrictions. Preferred Skills: *Familiarity with tools such as CREO, Windchill, or similar platforms for engineering data integration. *Understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes, including precision machining, fabrication, and assembly. *Experience in process improvement methodologies, such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma. *Knowledge of AS9100 quality standards and compliance requirements.
