Job Overview The University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine, Department of Neurology and Rehabilitation Medicine is seeking Full-Time Research Assistant. The Research Assistant will assist with the coordination of laboratory projects or research studies in a particular discipline, makes independent contributions to projects and studies based on professional training or functional experience. Essential Functions Development and management of clinical epidemiology and clinical trial databases which would include data entry, quality control checks, database management, development of analysis datasets in multiple formats including SAS/SPSS along with back-ups. Data generated from multiple sources will be harmonized into a single master dataset from which analysis datasets will be drawn. Maintenance and management of existing datasets along with incorporation will be included. Biostatistical analyses both for quality control as well as for manuscript/abstract/grant preparation to include but not limited to power/sample size estimation, univariate and multivariate analyses. Perform experiments and record data according to research protocols. Interpret data and assist in judging validity of data. May perform statistical and graphical analysis of data. May assist in animal colony management and animal husbandry. Apply research principals for less complex assignments. Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time. Required Education Bachelor's Degree. Four (4) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement. Additional Qualifications Considered REDCAP, SAS/SPSS experience.
