Ametek Inc. Quality Control Receiving Inspector in Cincinnati, Ohio

The successful candidate will be responsible for Finished Goods receipt, stocking, traceability, and inventory control. Works with Sales/Customer Service, Material Control, outside shippers, and manufacturing to coordinate daily shipments, both domestic and international. Helps expedite shipments when necessary. Also responsible for Finish Goods cycle counts, KanBan replenishment and inventory, and ordering of all shipping material and supplies. Responsibilities

  • Ensure all related paperwork is completed.
  • Perform environment particle count for the controlled environmental area and complete all related paperwork.
  • Identify workmanship defects and initiate a non-conformance report or discrepancy report for non-conforming products.
  • Interact with the engineers for a non-conformance report or discrepancy report for non-conforming products and new product inspection.
  • Assist with moderately difficult validations.
  • Performs visual and dimensional measurements of purchased components using microscopes, micrometers, dial calipers, snap gages, optical comparator, CMM, and other precision measurement equipment.
  • Reviews and recommends changes to existing inspection procedures and engineering specifications.
  • Conduct verification.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Trade school certification preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills,
  • Basic math, reading, and writing.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Experience using UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, and Scheduling DHL Shipments is a Plus
