Location: UC Medical Center Department: Mental Health Social Service Hours: Part-Time, 16 Hours/Biweekly Shift: Third, 1st Saturday 11p - 7p and 2nd Saturday 11p -7a Psychiatric Emergency Social Worker(MSW), Part-Time, Third Shift, Mental Health Social Service UC Health is hiring a part-time Psychiatric Emergency Social Worker for the Mental Health Social Service's department for the third shift at University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Social Workers serving in a variety of departments and clinics are responsible for responding to referrals from the interdisciplinary team. The social worker will complete psychosocial assessments, develop and implement a plan of care that addresses patients' needs that promotes continuity of care, and facilitates transitions to the next level of care. The social worker will provide education, consultation, and serve as a liaison to the healthcare team regarding the patient and families' emotional, psychological, social, financial and developmental aspects of care. ``` - Education: - Master of Social Work from an accredited School of Social Work, minimum required. - License and Certification: - Licensed by the State of Ohio Social Work Board (LSW, LISW, or LISW-S) - Years of experience: - One-two Years equivalent experience, minimum required. Three-five years, preferred. - Required Skills and Knowledge: - Casework principles, including diagnosis, assessment, crisis intervention, and treatment planning; techniques in individual, family and group therapy; awareness of community resources, public assistance systems, Medicare/Medicaid; accepted professional and ethical standards within the existing medical community and professional organizations.
