About the College

The Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Cincinnati is currently accepting applications for a Program Manager position to support an awarded National Science Foundation ITEST (Innovative Technology Experiences for Students and Teachers) SEI grant centered on broadening and extending a transdisciplinary model to educate students and to train in-service teachers in transdisciplinary concepts that bridge biology and engineering. Specifically, the model is at the cutting edge of mutual inspiration between biology and engineering -the sensory guidance of behavior in biological organisms and autonomous robots. The program will include an in-school program for high school students and in-service secondary education teachers, summer program, and paid high school student summer internships.

--Manage, design, develop, modify and present programs. Perform program needs assessment and make recommendations.

--Implement policies and procedures.

--Maintain budget, prepare contracts, approve and monitor expenditures, prepare budget requests and financial reports.

--Act as liaison to internal departments, external entities and community organizations.
