This clinical staff pharmacist position is in the UC Health Investigational Drug Service (IDS). IDS provides collaborative pharmacy care to research patients enrolled in clinical trials across UC Health supporting the research mission and study portfolio of the UC College of Medicine and other UC health science colleges. IDS pharmacists provide operational, clinical, and administrative support across a broad range of research teams, advanced therapy areas, and regulatory stakeholders. IDS responsibilities are collaboratively supported by a specific team of dedicated, patient-centered, and expert clinical staff pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. Education: B.S. in pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy is required. PharmD preferred degree. License and Certification: Licensed or eligible for pharmacist licensure in the state of Ohio ACLS preferred. Years of Experience: Greater than or equal to a six-month hospital pharmacy internship or hospital experience as a pharmacist is preferred. Preference will be given to completion of a PGY1 pharmacy residency program (or an equivalent combination of education and experience). Required Skills and Knowledge: Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision; work cooperatively with health-system and pharmacy staff; handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule; set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond quickly to emergent requests; exercise sound professional judgment; communicate effectively (orally and in writing); and meet the pharmaceutical care needs of the patient populations served by UC Health.
