Kelly Services Plant Controller (Manufacturing) DIRECT HIRE $120k+/year in Cincinnati, Ohio
Kelly Services currently has an immediate DIRECT HIRE opportunity for a PLANT CONTROLLER with manufacturing experience. JOB SUMMARY:
Lead the accounting / finance function and proactively manage the plant's cost savings initiatives.
Continuously improve the procedures and systems necessary to manage complex accounting operations while providing concise, regular, and ad hoc reporting for plant and corporate management.
Timely preparation and communication of financial information that supports the company's reporting requirements and assists management in plant operations
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the site’s monthly financial closing process (two-day close) and ensure reconciliation between local ERP and reported financial performance
Prepare monthly financial, inventory, headcount, and capital forecasts for upcoming months with focus on forecast accuracy
Prepare the annual 5 Year Plan & operating budget and variance plan for the site
Owner of internal controls for the site in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley standards
Accurately maintains the general ledger and account reconciliations
Continuously improves the cost accounting system, policies, procedures, and reports to improve data quality, quantity, and timeliness
Oversee the development and maintenance of standard product costs
Maintain the site’s delegation of authority matrix and ensures compliance
Prepare, review, and submit the monthly key performance metrics for the site
Lead the work of the accounting / finance department, develop, and manage senior analyst, cost accountant, and senior clerk
Lead the plant's cost reduction efforts by identifying, evaluating, and tracking cost reduction programs
Will lead the implementation of SAP as part of the NAM roll out
Provides ad hoc support for numerous plant and corporate financial requests
Business Partner to the Plant Director, drive operating and financial results and make specific recommendations to management resulting in cost reductions.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required, MBA preferred
Minimum of 8+ years finance / accounting work experience (primarily manufacturing related required)
At least 2 years of supervisory experience in an Accounting/Finance role
CMA / CPA / MBA (highly desirable)
Ability to manage multiple tasks that require quick turnaround
Effective leadership skills to manage and develop staff
Strong computer skills to include MS Office (Word & Excel) and a familiarity with ERP systems-SAP & BIPICS
