Robert Half Payroll Analyst in Cincinnati, Ohio

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Analyst in the service industry, located in Cincinnati, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for processing payroll, managing data, utilizing Excel for analysis, creating macros, ensuring compliance, reporting, auditing, and customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.

• Maintain and update payroll information by gathering, calculating, and inputting data.

• Utilize Excel for payroll analysis and report generation, using advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and complex formulas.

• Create and maintain Excel macros to streamline payroll processes and improve efficiency.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.

• Compile detailed reports on payroll expenditures, including summaries, variance analyses, and trend reports.

• Conduct regular audits of payroll procedures and records to ensure accuracy and compliance with established standards and regulations.

• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues, resolve discrepancies, and provide exceptional support.

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices in the payroll system.

• Participate in payroll system upgrades or changes as necessary. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing or a related field.

• Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and ADP - Payroll systems.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Excel Formulas.

• Familiarity with Paycom payroll software.

• Certification as a Payroll Professional (CPP) is desirable.

• Experience with Payroll Tax Deposits, Payroll Taxes, and Local Payroll Tax.

• Knowledge of processing Weekly Payroll.

• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
