Robert Half Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist in Cincinnati, Ohio

Description

We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Medical Biller/Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role is situated in the medical industry and will focus on conducting medical AR clean up projects and managing claims.

Responsibilities:

• Handle medical accounts receivable clean up projects

• Monitor, review and re-bill 4000+ medical claims as necessary

• Carry out insurance follow-ups to ensure all claims are processed and paid

• Utilize Microsoft Excel and Office Suites for data management and reporting

• Maintain accurate records of all actions and correspondence

• Resolve customer inquiries related to medical claims in a timely and efficient manner

• Ensure all customer credit applications are processed accurately

• Update and maintain accurate customer credit records

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary

• Collaborate with other team members to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently.

Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites

• Experience in medical claims processing and understanding of medical terminologies

• Knowledge of insurance follow-up procedures and ability to manage them effectively

• Ability to handle confidential information in a sensitive manner

• Strong communication skills to liaise with insurance companies and patients

• Detail-oriented approach to manage and maintain patient and insurance records

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Basic accounting knowledge to manage payments and track receivables

• Ability to identify and resolve any discrepancies in patient accounts

• Strong problem-solving skills to address any issues in the billing process

• Familiarity with medical billing software would be an advantage

• Proven record of adhering to all guidelines and standards related to medical billing and insurance

• Strong interpersonal skills to maintain a positive relationship with patients and insurance representatives.
