L2 Aviation Material Control Clerk I (CVG) in Cincinnati, Ohio
Position: Material Control Clerk I (CVG) Location: Cincinnati, OH (CVG Airport area) Description: The Material Control Clerk I is responsible for organizing and distributing materials and inventory within the Material Control department to ensure timely and accurate kitting and delivery to production. This role involves maintaining inventory accuracy, optimizing material flow, and supporting the overall productivity of the production team. Primary Responsibilities: Kitting for Production Work Orders Organize and maintain materials in appropriate location for ease of manufacturing Support Shipping and Receiving department for similar duties Maintaining accurate inventory records by tracking the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials Ensuring proper stock levels are maintained through tasks like receiving deliveries, verifying quantities, performing cycle counts, and updating inventory systems Recording inventory transactions into computer systems, including receiving dates, quantities, and locations Pre-staging of materials per requisition to be sent to production for final assembly Completion of rolling stock inventory count Other duties as assigned by the department manager Qualifications: High school diploma or trade equivalent Minimum 1-year experience shipping/receiving/inventory control Basic computer skills Experience working in conformance with a quality system Required: Excellent communication skills Ability to meet or exceed deadlines Dependable Must be able to work with minimum supervision Must be detail oriented within a fast-paced environment Must be willing to take on new tasks in a changing environment Must be able to work overtime and weekends as necessary Successful comprehensive 10-year TSA and CVG Airport background check and Pre-employment drug testing required.
