Job Summary Performs all routine maintenance department activities and provides specific skills in one or more crafts at the Journeyman level. Key Duties Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities: Repairing, maintaining and improving manufacturing equipment, utilities, buildings and grounds. Complies with all cGMP procedures, safety practices and environmental regulations. Performs all requests as assigned through the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Document work performed on manufacturing equipment with service bulletins. Performs full range of maintenance activities up to the limits of skills and training. Schedule and coordinate repair with outside contractors. Requisitions spare parts and supplies as requested. Respond to emergency call-ins for equipment. May work non-standard shifts and weekends to support production or maintenance needs and/or to complete work that would otherwise interfere with production. On-call duties will be required (on a rotational basis) due to environmental monitoring activities. Communicate daily with co-workers and manager through shift notes. Use computer software to access maintenance files, procedures, e-mail, etc. Must be capable of working extended shift on short notice and participate in on-call rotation for systems monitoring. Other duties as assigned: Physical demands may be high at times including working outdoors in extreme weather for extended periods. Ability to walk up and down several flights of stairs throughout the work day in a multi-location facility. Must be capable of working at elevated heights. Ability to lift heavy loads up to 50 pounds on a daily basis. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment as required to perform duties in the production areas (safety glasses, gloves, respirator). Ability to stand, stoop, reach, push and pull carts/equipment throughout the course of the work shift. Must be able to drive from site to site within Meridian campus to perform maintenance duties. Ability to concentrate, analyze and problem solve or troubleshoot equipment or facility issues. Qualifications Minimum Education or Equivalent Experience Required/Preferred: A high school diploma or GED is required. Advanced technical training preferred. A minimum of 2-4 years relevant experience is required. cGMP manufacturing environment experience is desirable. Experience in automated packaging assembly and dispensing equipment preferred. Possession of, or ability to obtain valid driver's license. Competencies Required or preferred: Ability to read, comprehend and accurately follow company SOPs and guidelines and complete all paperwork as required. Must maintain accurate and precise records. Basic electrical, mechanical and automated controls troubleshooting skills is required. Must be able to work successfully in a team environment that requires flexibility.
