Associate of Science in Electronics or Engineering Technology, or equivalent work experience preferred Physical Demands & Work Environment: Field Service Technicians are required to work in the following environments with the listed physical demands with or without reasonable accommodation. Constantly works around moving mechanical parts in conditions that include cold and hot temperatures, and humid environments. Occasionally works in damp/wet environments to include meat & diary plants. Occasionally exposed to allergens, i.e. peanuts. Occasionally works in explosive environments. Noise level may by loud at times. The ability to operate large industry machinery as well as handle mechanical and electrical tools as needed. The FSE will possess or be able to obtain a valid passport. Frequent overnight travel is common. The individual must possess and maintain a valid driver's license, pass a motor vehicle record check, and have the unrestricted ability to obtain rental vehicles What You Need to Succeed Role/Purpose: The Mettler Toledo Product Inspection Field Service Engineers (FSE) are required to provide World Class support to our customers through start-ups, audits, maintenance, repair, and training of Safeline x-ray, metal detectors, or Hi-Speed Checkweighers. PI FSE's are responsible for managing all aspects of field service support including the following: communications between customers and the service department, effective scheduling, detailed preparation of written reports and documentation, and maintenance of job assignments, while always keeping in mind to follow MT PI procedures and best practices.
