ARCH Cutting Tools - Cincinnati LLC Experienced CNC machinist in Cincinnati, Ohio

We are looking for two CNC grinders to operate Anca and Rollomatic machines for the production of carbide burs, drills, and endmills. Experience with these machines is a plus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts.
  • Maintain quality and safety standards.
  • Keep detailed records and manage equipment supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan machining tasks by reviewing work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, surface locations, and machining parameters.
  • Interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances.
  • Manage stock inventory by checking current levels, forecasting needs, and placing orders as necessary.
  • Set tool registers, offsets, compensations, and conditional switches.
  • Calculate requirements and make adjustments to tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers.
  • Load and position stock into machines.
  • Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run parts, and sample workpieces to ensure adherence to standards.
  • Maintain specifications through monitoring drilling, grooving, cutting, turning, facing, knurling, and thread-chasing operations.
  • Measure and detect malfunctions.
  • Document actions by completing production and quality logs.
  • Update job knowledge through educational opportunities and technical publications.

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, or related experience or training; combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and understand instructions, correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; effectively communicate in one-on-one and small group settings.
  • Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense to carry out detailed instructions and handle problems with concrete variables.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequently required to stand and walk.
  • Occasionally required to use hands and arms, and lift or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

  • Work near moving mechanical parts with occasional exposure to moderate to loud noise levels.
