QuickPro Staffing is searching for experienced *2nd shift CNC Operators to run Lathe / Turn machines *who wish to continue his or her career in advanced manufacturing technology by executing a higher level of workmanship. Our client offers a clean, climate-controlled environment and we believe in quality and safety above all else.

3:30pm-12:00am Mon-Fri *OT may be required as needed

Our client is a Drug-Free Workplace and conducts pre-employment drug and background screening and random drug screening.

Essential Duties and Tasks

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the operator is responsible for following all policies and procedures associated with the various parts and equipment that he or she will be trained and certified to run. In addition, operators load/unload parts to fulfil production demands, inspect parts using various precision measuring tools, accept or reject parts, and communicate any changes, both verbally and in writing.

  • Operate regular (horizontal) or VTL (vertical) lathe machines
  • Analyze and interpret Op sheets, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and travelers to produce products that meet or exceed customer specifications
  • Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to customer specifications, using precision measuring tools and equipment as necessary (micrometers, calipers, gauges (pin, thread, indicator, height), optical comparators and coordinate measuring machines (CMM)
  • Maintain working knowledge of CNC principles, including G and M codes
  • Maintain working knowledge of rotary/linear axes
  • Selects, aligns, and secures fixtures, tooling, and workpieces on machines as necessary to machine parts as required
  • Analyze, interpret CMM reports, and properly offset machine dimensions to meet customer specifications
  • Perform deburr operations to within specified tolerances
  • Documents actions by updating control charts, travelers, and reporting labor in the ERP system
  • Perform under AS9100 quality standards and NADCAP accreditation
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by performing daily housekeeping duties

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • CNC Machining certificate from a Trade School preferred or acceptable work experience in lieu of schooling
  • Must meet the ITAR definition of §120.15 U.S. person
  • Lathe, Shaft, or Turning experience required - Min 1 yr
  • Experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment, aerospace industry preferred
  • Experience with G & M codes preferred
