The Nutrition and Wellness Center is a collaboration between the Center for Better Health and Nutrition, Type 2 Diabetes, and Nonalcoholic Steatohepatitis teams. The teams are multidisciplinary and including a psychologist, physicians, nurses, dieticians, exercise specialists, and social workers. Responsibilities for this position include: 1) Providing psychosocial assessment and brief evidence-based interventions for children and adolescents presenting with obesity, prediabetes, type 2 diabetes, and/or metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease in a multidisciplinary clinic setting; 2) Outpatient individual and family therapy with youth with pediatric chronic conditions and their families, including those noted above. The ideal candidate will have completed a doctorate in clinical or school psychology (APA accredited), be licensed or license-eligible in Ohio and through PsyPACT, and completed postdoctoral training focused on supporting adherence to lifestyle behavior change and broad training in evidence-based treatments of psychological conditions in pediatric psychology.
