Boyd Gaming BEVERAGE MGR in Cincinnati, Ohio

What would I be doing?

Provide direct and general supervision to beverage employees in order to ensure effective and efficient operation of beverage operations;ensure compliance with policies and procedures while supporting Belterra Park’s vision, mission and values.

Responsibilities

  1. Deliver internal and external guest service the Pinnacle Way. Always exhibit a friendly and approachable demeanor. Be polite and courteous when speaking with guests and team members. Look for and act upon opportunities to assist guests and team members. Be sincere and genuine during all interactions. Be prepared with the knowledge and skill required to be responsive to guests and team member’s needs and questions

  2. Staff, schedule, evaluate, train, develop and monitor beverage team.

  3. Recommend wage increases, promotions, demotions, discipline and other employment actions for team members.

  4. Understand department objectives, standards, guidelines and budget to achieve effectivesupervision of department; adjust daily schedule according to business levels.

  5. Increase beverage revenues through research and taking positive steps to adjust or change menu offerings, service, portion control, presentation and waste.

  6. Develop and implement department management plans including budgets, labor schedules and systems of accountability.

  7. Organize beverage operations for effective and efficient service as well as overall coordination and control.

  8. Promote the courteous treatment of customers and team members including resolving complaints, answering questions and providing general service.

  1. Ensure beverage servers, bartenders and other outlet personnel are meeting or exceeding service standards.

  1. Maintain control of the outlet to ensure staffing levels are appropriate based on business volumes.

  1. Develop and implement policies, procedures and rules including operations manuals, to promote compliance with company and regulatory guidelines.

  2. Create and maintain records, reports and other documentation as required to meet company and business expectations.

  3. Ensure proper communication between front of house and back of house operations while taking ownership of all responsible areas.

  4. Meet daily deadlines of opening, creating, and posting table-talks for features for pre-shifts in a timely manner and reviews nightly special postings, prep level reports, and critical inventory comparisons.

  5. Ensure periodic quality checks for all products and service, i.e., greeting times.

  6. Monitor purchasing, staffing, and inventory in order to control product and labor cost and waste, ensuring adherence to the budget.

  7. Monitor work areas to ensure cleanliness standards are achieved and customer requests are addressed and resolved.

  8. Oversee and ensure all stations are properly stocked and set up.

  9. Oversee and ensure all equipment and working conditions are well maintained.

  10. Maintain the viability and integrity of all beverage operations.

  11. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

What are we looking for?

  • Must be at least 21 years of age

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain valid gaming registration

  • Demonstrated management experience in a high volume restaurant or barThese skills and abilities are typically acquired through the completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or related field and five years experience directly related to food and beverage or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
