Join us as a Behavioral Health Facilitator with our Behavioral Safety team and make a difference in the lives of children. Support clinical practice and patient care delivery while working in an environment that values professional growth. Job Responsibilities Milieu Management and Care Delivery: * Lead and oversee therapeutic milieu and group programming during waking hours. * Develop, facilitate, and coach staff in implementing group activities. * Manage patient care across various settings, adapting milieu to handle disruptive behaviors. * Design and evaluate therapeutic programs based on evidence-based practices. * Educate and mentor new staff, ensuring safe and ready work areas for the next shift. * Monitor patient locations, risk levels, and mental status changes. * Lead shift assignments and daily tasks, including environmental rounds and patient observation checks. * Ensure timely staff documentation and participate in treatment rounds. * Prepare materials and resources for group activities and manage unit functions. Patient/Family Interaction: * Encourage patient participation in family meetings and address customer service concerns. * Engage with parents during visits and coach staff on positive reinforcement and crisis management. * Provide parent coaching on behavioral interventions and safety plans. * Support diverse families and integrate age-specific and culturally diverse concepts into patient care. * Communicate regularly with the interdisciplinary treatment team about treatment plans and progress. * Oversee the implementation of positive reinforcement systems by unit staff. Group Therapy: * Develop group topics and educate new staff on group leadership skills. * Tailor groups to patient needs based on developmental levels and psychiatric diagnoses. * Adapt groups to address behavioral issues and improve productivity. * Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes. * Provide oversight and support for complex patient assignments and give constructive feedback to co-workers. * Educate and coach new staff on therapeutic use of one-on-one interactions and encourage ICMP completion. * Lead teams in achieving clinical outcomes and respond to referrals, patient assessments, crises, and support bedside staff.
